- Place one pretzel on each edge of the cheese wedge to create the reindeer ear.
- Use two small pieces of olive to create the eyes.
- Place a small piece of red pepper on the remaining edge of the cheese wedge as a nose.
2. Hotdog Stockings

- ¼ cup of salad dressing or mayonnaise
- Half a cup of crème fraiche or sour cream
- Half a teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

- Small clove of garlic, chopped
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

For the vegetable platter:
- 14 grape or cherry tomatoes

- 1 egg

- 1 tablespoon each of olive oil and lemon juice
- A sprinkle of salt and pepper
- A star-shaped baking mold
For the honey mustard sauce:
- ¼ cup honey mustard dressing
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ tablespoon brown sugar
Directions:
- Mix the ingredients to create the honey mustard sauce and set aside.
- Mix together the egg, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, and salmon.
- Add the lemon juice and spices and mix well.
- Place ¼ cup of extra breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl.
- Make flat patties with your salmon mixture and put in the breadcrumbs, coating well on both sides.

- Spread peanut butter on one piece of the bread and add the mashed banana. Press closed with another piece of bread and cut out sandwich shapes using the cookie cutter.

- Pre-heat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius and grease and line a slice tray or shallow baking tray.

- 1 cup uncooked quinoa
- 1 cup water

Ingredients: For the crust:
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 3 cups wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
For the sauce:
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 minced garlic clove
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Topping:
- Baby leaf spinach
- Thinly sliced tomato
Directions: To make the Pizza base:
- Knead the ingredients together in a bowl either by hand or with a mixer until well combined and form into a ball. Leave to rise for 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough out onto a pizza pan and leave to sit for 10 minutes.
- Roll the dough out a little thinner and cut out triangle shapes from the dough to form the Christmas tree.
- Bake for 5 minutes at 400 degrees.
- Make the white sauce.
- Remove from the oven and top with the sauce and fresh vegetables, starting with the spinach.
10. Santa Claus Bread
Preparation time: 1 hour | Serves: 2 loaves
What’s better than the smell of homebaked bread? Of course, eating it!Ingredients:
- 6 cups of bread flour, divided
- 2 packets quick rising active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 egg
- 2 cups warm water
- Red food colouring
- 4 raisins or currants
Directions:
- Stir together the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast
- Add butter and water. Mix on low speed or by hand for a minute
- Slowly add the extra flour a quarter cup at a time until the dough is moist
- Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes elastic and smooth
- Place the dough in a well-oiled bowl and turn over once, coating with oil
- Cover the bowl with cellophane and leave to rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes
- Divide the dough in half to make two loaves. Use one half of the dough and pull off 1/3, set aside.
- Shape the main piece into a circle, pulling and stretching the top to form a hat
- Take a small piece from the reserved dough and roll into a small ball. Press it into the top of the hat to make a pompom
- Form three small balls of dough for Santa’s eyes and nose and press in place. Use two raisins or currants for eyes.
- Use another piece of dough from the reserved dough to create a mustache and cut slits towards the center on either side. Push it firmly onto Santa’s face.
- Use another small piece of dough to create a hatband and lay it across Santa’s hat.
- Use the remainder of the reserved dough to create Santa’s beard and pat it onto his face.
- Beat the dough and add just a little of water. Brush it over Santa’s face, except for his nose and hat.
- Add the food colouring to the rest of the egg and brush Santa’s nose and hat with it. You can give him rosy cheeks, too.
- Leave to rise for 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350 degrees.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
11. Baked Rudolph Potato
Preparation time: 15 minutes | Serving: 4
How can we forget Rudolph from our Christmas party for kids? Filling, fun to make, and delicious, try this Rudolph baked potato.
Ingredients:
- 4 baking potatoes, medium
- Canola oil
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ medium butternut squash
- ¼ cup grated cheddar
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter and extra for brushing squash
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Cherry tomatoes
- Cooked frozen peas
- Cheese straw twists
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and prick the potatoes all over. Place them on a baking pan and brush with a little oil. Bake for 1 ¼ hours or until soft in the middle.
- Cut the butternut squash in half and scoop out the seeds. Brush with a little melted butter and bake for 40 minutes until soft.
- When a little cooler, cut out the top of the potatoes and scoop out the inside. Also, scoop out the squash flesh and mash the two together. Add Parmesan, milk, mustard, and remaining butter.
- Season with salt and pepper and spoon the mixture back into the potato skins.
- Top with the grated cheddar and cook under the grill until golden.
- Decorate with peas for eyes, tomato for nose, and cheese straws for antlers.
12. Cheese and Ham Sliders
Preparation time: 10 minutes | Serves: 24 Ingredients:
- 24 pieces of honey ham
- 24 white dinner rolls
- 1/3 cup miracle whip
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 24 small slices of Swiss cheese
For the poppy seed sauce:
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
- 1 ½ tablespoons yellow mustard
- ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
- Mix the miracle whip and mayonnaise together and spread on both sides of the rolls.
- Place a slice of cheese and piece of ham on the inside of each roll. Close the rolls and place on a large baking dish, close together.
- Whisk together sauce ingredients and pour over the sliders. Leave to sit for 10 minutes.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees or until the cheese melts.
- Uncover and cook for another 2 minutes. Serve warm.
13. Brussel Sprouts with Bacon
Preparation time: 25 minutes | Serves: 4
Here’s a tasty and quick dish, perfect for kids to accompany a Christmas main course.
Ingredients:
- About 16 ounces of fresh Brussel sprouts, rinsed
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 4 strips of bacon
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ¼ cup onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Remove the stem ends from the sprouts and cut the Brussel sprouts in half. Lay them cut side down and slice thinly to shred them.
- Fry the bacon until crisp and drain in paper towels. Leave 2 tablespoons of drippings in the pan. Crumble the bacon.
- Add onion and garlic to the pan and stir until the onion is soft.
- Add the sprouts and cook until tender.
- Add salt, pepper, and lemon juice and continue cooking and stirring for one minute. Toss the bacon in and serve hot.
14. Cornbread Stuffing
Preparation time: 15 minutes | Serves: 8
It’s just not Christmas unless there’s stuffing!
Ingredients:
- 3 stems celery, sliced
- 6 tablespoons butter, unsalted
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1 large yellow onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons chopped, fresh sage
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 ½ cups low-sodium chicken broth or stock
- 10 cups crumbled, stale cornbread
Directions:
- In a pan, melt the butter and add celery and onion. Cook until soft and season with the salt and pepper.
- Place the cornbread in a slow cooker and toss with sage. Add the onion mixture and stir to combine. Add the broth or stock and stir. Season to taste.
- Place the cover on the slow cooker and cook for an hour on high. Reduce the heat to low and leave to cook for 3 – 4 hours.
- Keep checking that the edges don’t burn.
15. Pork Medallions Wrapped in Bacon
Preparation time: 10 | Serves: 4 – 6
For more sophisticated taste buds, try these pork medallions.
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of pork tenderloin
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 teaspoon each of dried basil, salt, garlic powder, dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons each of olive oil and butter
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Place the bacon in a large skillet and cook on medium-high, turning regularly. Drain the slices on a paper towel and remove any excess grease from skillet.
- Combine the salt, basil, garlic, and oregano in a bowl and set aside.
- Wrap the pork tenderloin with the cooked bacon strips, using toothpicks to secure the strips. Slice the tenderloin between each strip and dip both sides in the seasoning.
- Melt butter and oil in the same skillet on medium-high heat and cook each medallion; four minutes per side.
- Place skillet in the oven and bake until cooked through, about 20 minutes.

16. Rice Krispie Christmas Pudding Cakes
Preparation time: 30 minutes | Serves: 10 – 12
These are fun to make Christmas party treats with kids and taste amazing!
Ingredients:
- Rice Krispies pops
- 50g butter
- 30g raisins, chopped
- 30g mini marshmallows
- 100g milk chocolate, broken up
- Ready-made icing holly leaves, optional
- 80g white chocolate
Directions:
- Place raisins and rice pops in a bowl.
- Place milk chocolate, butter, and marshmallows in a small saucepan, on low heat and stir until butter and chocolate are melted.
- Pour mixture onto rice pops and stir to coat.
- Use cling film to line an egg cup and press a tablespoon of mixture into the cup. Press firmly.
- Remove, peel off the film and place puddings into a cake base, flat-side. Repeat with the rest of the mixture and chill until firm.
- In the microwave, melt the white chocolate and spoon a little over the top of each pudding.
- Finish off with holly icing leaves if desired.
17. Reindeer Shortbread
Preparation time: 35 minutes | Serves: 8
Finish off a delicious meal with these kiddie sweet treats.
Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 200g salted butter, soft
- 85g ground rice
- 85g golden caster sugar
- 8 red smarties
- 225g plain flour
- 16 white chocolate buttons or sweets for the eyes
- 3 tablespoons icing sugar
- Black icing in a tube or packet
Directions:
- Place vanilla, sugar, and butter in a mixing bowl and stir well. Stir in ground rice followed by flour and create a smooth dough.
- Place parchment paper on a baking sheet.
- Create a round ball with the dough in the middle of the paper and use your hands to flatten it.
- Dust a rolling pin with flour and roll the dough into a large circle.
- Place a 23cm plate on the dough and cut around the edges to create a neat circle.
- Use a knife to mark the circle into 8 small wedge-shaped biscuits and prick lines from the center to the edge of the dough.
- Cover with cling film and refrigerate for half an hour. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Cook the shortbread for 25 minutes or until golden.
- Once cool, use a knife to follow the lines and cut out the triangles.
- Mix icing sugar with 2 teaspoons of water and dunk each Smartie in the icing. Glue to the pointy end of the biscuit to make a nose. Do the same with the sweets to make eyes. Leave to set.
18. Marshmallow Snowmen
Preparation time: 10 minutes | Serves: 10
Fun, fresh, and cute snowmen are a great way to end a meal.
Ingredients:
- 20 white marshmallows
- Toothpicks
- Fruit Roll-Ups
- Candy for mittens
- Red and green fruit jellies for hats
- Cookie icing
- Sprinkles or mini chocolate chips for eyes
- Orange jellies for nose
Directions:
- Use a toothpick to attach the jelly hat to a marshmallow and attach two marshmallows together, one on top of the other to create the body of the snowman.
- Use a slice of fruit roll-ups to create the scarf and drape it over the snowman.

19. Reindeer Cinnamon Roll

Ingredients: For cookie dough
- 1 cup white flour
- 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup applesauce
- 1 cup plain Greek yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon butter
For the filling:
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
To decorate:
- Green candies
- Stick pretzels
- Raisins
- Red string licorice
Directions:
- Mix the dry dough ingredients together and add melted butter and yoghurt. Spoon onto a floured surface and add a little more flour on top.
- Put flour on hands and knead dough until smooth.
- Roll out into a ½ inch-thick rectangle.
- For the filling: spread the melted butter on the dough and sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
- Start on the long side, rolling dough into a coil. Cut into 2 inch pieces and set on the end of a greased muffin pan.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 425 degrees.
- Once cool, decorate as desired.
20. Oreo Pudding Pops
Preparation time: 30 minutes | Serves: 12
Festive pudding pops out of Oreos are easy to make and tasty, too!
Ingredients:
- 12 Oreo cookies
- 100g white chocolate
- 200g milk chocolate
- 10g red fondant
- 20g green fondant
- 12 lollipop sticks
Directions:
- Melt milk chocolate in the microwave.
- Place a piece of baking paper on the worktop.
- Open the Oreos and stick a lolly stick to each cookie. Dip the stick into the chocolate and place it on the back of the biscuit.
- Place the Oreos on baking paper and leave to set for about 20 minutes.
- Once set, reheat the milk chocolate and use a teaspoon to spoon it over each Oreo, completely covering the cookies.
- Place the Oreos bake on the paper to set and melt the white chocolate in the meantime.
- Once the Oreos have set, spoon the white chocolate over the top half of each cookie to resemble icing on top of a Christmas pudding.
- Roll out green fondant and cut out holly leaves – about 24 leaves.
- Roll out the red fondant into 24 tiny balls for the berries.
- Press the berries and hollies onto the white chocolate set and leave to set.
